Intro to Climbing
Climbing is a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy. Come join us this fall for a full weekend of climbing, both here at Camp Foster and also on real rock at Palisades State Park in South Dakota. Participants will spend Saturday at Camp Foster learning about climbing, practicing techniques on our climbing walls, and learning how to belay (protect the safety of their partner with a rope). Spend Sunday putting the skills learned into practice and continue to learn new ones on the rock formations found along Split Rock Creek in Palisades State Park. Get a group of friends or family members together for a fun weekend. Cost of the program is $125 per person and includes all equipment, instruction, and guiding required. Transportation to Palisades State Park and park admission ($8/vehicle) is not included in the price of the program. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Cabins or rooms are available to rent at Camp for those wanting to spend the night Friday or Saturday. Call the Camp office at 712-336-3272 to register and pay for lodging.
